FARSET has upgraded its industrial handheld product line to a new high-performance chipset architecture, adopting the Qualcomm QCM4490 platform to enhance computing capability, connectivity performance, and long-term software support for industrial mobility applications. The upgrade marks a significant step in expanding FARSET’s technical barrier in rugged PDA design, aligning with the rising performance requirements of logistics, field operations, healthcare, retail, and public-sector digitalization.
The Qualcomm QCM4490 platform enables stronger CPU and GPU performance for enterprise-level task execution, while supporting advanced industrial middleware, front-end scanning engines, and high-load data applications. Paired with 5G cellular connectivity and Wi-Fi 6, FARSET’s new hardware architecture delivers faster uplink and downlink throughput, lower network latency, and more stable wireless performance in dense industrial environments such as distribution centers, retail stores, fulfillment hubs, and hospitals.
Through 5G and Wi-Fi 6 integration, FARSET mobility terminals now support intensive data scenarios including real-time WMS and ERP synchronization, camera-based product recognition, video-assisted workflows, large-scale RFID data ingestion, and cloud-based field task dispatch. The enhanced communication bandwidth also benefits digital workflows such as proof-of-delivery, route planning, and patient record access, where network responsiveness directly affects task efficiency.
By upgrading to a Qualcomm-based industrial hardware platform, FARSET strengthens its technology stack across computing performance, wireless communication, software compatibility, and system integration. Combined with ODM and EDM customization capability, this technical evolution enables large-scale deployments for global partners requiring long lifecycle support and enterprise-grade stability.
FARSET will continue to develop high-performance industrial terminals to support 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and next-generation edge computing applications across logistics, healthcare, retail, and public digital services.
